ONLINE MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
These are the steps for application as a new member:
1. Submit application using online system click here
2. Your application will be reviewed by our Membership Committee
3. Upon approval, you will receive an email from us
4. Please make payment online by following the instructions after registration.
5. Upon successful payment, your membership status will be activated

PAYING FOR YOUR MEMBERSHIP
For your convenience,
you can use our online payment system to pay for your annual subscription or to apply as a new member. Our system allows you to make payment using a variety of convenient payment methods including: Mastercard, VISA, Maybank2U, Alliance Online, Hong Leong Online, AMBank, EON Bank, RHB Bank, CIMB CLicks, Bank Islam, PBebank, FPX, Mobile Money, MEPS Cash and Web Cash.

If you are an Ordinary / Life member with paid up membership, just register without making payment. Your registration will be validated when we check your name against our current member list. To make it faster to confirm your status, key in your Membership Number in the Comment field in our registration form. You can also use this offline form for membership application.

MEMBERSHIP

Following will be the categories of memberships:

a) Ordinary members
Qualified Occupational Therapists from recognised schools of Occupational Therapy and being paid up Members in good standing of this National Persatuan with full rights for voting. They must be citizens of Malaysia.

b) Associate members
Qualified Occupational Therapist but not citizens. Any person other than qualified Occupational Therapists. Interested in the growth of Occupational Therapy profession.
Shall have no voting rights. Rights of admission reserved by the Executive Committee.

c) Honorary members
To be conferred upon any persons who rendered valuable service to the growth of the profession in Malaysia irrespective of nationality or class, have no voting rights but can serve as advisor. It shall be decided after the nomination by members and approval during the Annual General Meeting.

d) Life members
Qualified Occupational Therapists practicing or non practicing who wish to become life members by paying one lump sum. They have voting rights can be elected as office bearers.

e) Student members
Open to Occupational Therapy students to become members but shall have no voting rights.

Every applications for membership shall be proposed and seconded by two existing members and shall be forwarded to the secretary, who shall at the first convenient opportunity, submit it to the executive committee who may, at its discretion reject any application without assigning any reason thereof.

f) Patron and advisor
The Persatuan has right to nominate a patron and advisor(s) and conferred on person(s) whom they feel will support the profession in all its undertakings and development.

Any member who does not pay up his annual subscription by the end of each year shall automatically cease to be a member of the Persatuan.

We reserve to right to suspend or terminate the membership via committee voting of any member who abuses the name of the Persatuan, commits misconduct of authority, acts against professional ethics which results in damaging of the professional image of the Persatuan.
